At 2:30 pm, the guided tour of the most important and attractive places in Lima, the “City of Kings”, will begin. Pick up from your hotel at 6:00 am; We depart from Cusco to Tinqui (3815m / 12513ft) in our private transport and travel around 3 hours to reach the small Andean village of Tinqui at the foot of the Vilcanota range. Driving through the beautiful countryside, we pass several traditional villages including Urcos, Ccatcca, Ocongate, finally we will reach Tinqui, where we can stop for breaks and meet our riders and horses we will also put all our things on the horses. Our hike begins around 10:00 am from crossing the bridge we walk a pampas of grassy meadows below the jagged stone flanks of Ausangate Mountain (6350m / 20828ft), the highest snow peak in southern Peru. After trekking for approximately 6 hours, we arrive at the hot springs of Upis (4400m / 14432ft). Here we spend the night in a charming campsite in Upis.

Breakfast; the next day, we hike for about 2 hours to get our first pass, Arapa Pass (4750m / 15580ft). To be in the pass we will have to walk through the valley along the right slope before climbing a rocky area. A cabin and some corrals form the last settlement we will find before going up to the mountain. Throughout the entire journey we will see the majestic Ausangate mountain. Finally we arrive at the Paso de Arapa; From the pass we enjoyed wonderful views not only of Ausangate itself. Follow the fence line and cross the mountain range on foot to the left of the steep hill between it and the Nevado Ausangate. We continue down we have the opportunity to see beautiful lakes, multicolored lagoons until we reach the largest Yanacocha lagoon (black lake) where we have our lunch, after lunch another hour to the camping near the Pucacocha Lagoon (4500m / 14760ft), We will camping here.

In the morning, we make a short ascent to our second Apacheta pass, (4850m / 15908ft) and then down to Ausangatecocha lagoon below where we will have our lunch. After the lunch climb for two hours towards the third pass of the mountain, the Abra de Palomani (5200m / 17056ft). This is the highest part of the entire trek, from which we then descend for another 2 hours through an area of llamas, alpacas and vizcachas “” to reach Pampacancha. We can enjoy fantastic views of Ausangate and the Vilcanota range from this point. Then we walk down into a valley, we arrive at our incredibly beautiful campsite in Pampacancha (4050m / 13284ft)

After breakfast; We gently climb up the side valley Qampa, crossing a stream, and passing ancient rock falls into large rabbit-rodents as Andean vizcachas leap between the rocks. On this less populated southern side of the mountain our chances of seeing wildlife are accentuated. Condors skim along the slopes, and rare elusive vicuña herds can appear on the tops, keeping a safe distance. Beyond the small village of Qampa we traverse a huge, grassy shoulder of Ausangate with the icy crags of Collque Cruz (Silver Cross) and Tres Picos (Tres Picos) to our right, as we ascend the Qampa pass (5000m / 16400ft), our fourth and last crossing. The point is marked by high landmarks (apachetas) built by generations of standing travelers who make the north-south crossing of the Vilcanota mountain range. We descend with the broad, hilly plains of the Upper Mapacho basin stretching far below us, reaching our campsite in the well-known Qomercocha group of lakes, as night approaches.

Breakfast; we leave this spectacular course reluctantly, with more than one look back. These lonely lakes, some others deep and crystalline, shallow and bubbling with exotic algae, lie below sharp, tall peaks. Powerful and peaceful, it is easy to understand how this became a ceremony site for the Quechua shamans of the Region. We follow a series of ridges rolling through open grasslands, encountering shepherds and child wool women as we approach the hand-spun town of Pacchanta (4100m / 13448ft), the largest settlement on our trek. Here enchanting hot springs offer us a sublime soak, with the entire panorama of the snow-capped Ausangate filling the southern horizon.

Breakfast at the hotel; choose the hotel for your excursion to Machu Picchu 2 Day, early transfer to the nearby Poroy train station for the train trip to the mysterious lost city of Machu Picchu, the train trip to Machu Picchu is one of the most beautiful tours that visitors can experience in our country. The trip offers a great many natural, amazing views of the Andes and a jungle environment after descending to the (2000m / 6560ft). After around 3 and a half hours, we will have reached Aguas Calientes, transfer to the hotel after checking in.
Mandor Valle Bird watching; after lunch you will visit Mandor Valle; We walk along the Vilcanota River following the railroad tracks in the Mandor Valley to visit its waterfall. The valley is inhabited by varied and fascinating birds, including Spotted Face Parrots and Green Jays, and we have the opportunity to find Gallito de las Rocas. We will rest and perhaps bathe under the waterfall before walking back to the hotel in the shadow of Machu Picchu.

Breakfast at the hotel; Full day excursion to Machu Picchu from Aguas Calientes, early transfer at 5:30 am to the bus stop for the short trip (25 minutes) to the citadel of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, you will participate in a guided tour of the Citadel, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock (the most important preserved Intihuatana), the royal rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, houses, warehouses, a large central square; and all connected by narrow roads and passes that are surrounded by terraces carved into the mountainside. After the tour you will have time to wander around the archaeological site at your leisure.
Then, you will have time to do any of the following activities by yourself (not included in the price):
1. Ascent to Wayna Picchu; For the more adventurous, we suggest you climb the Wayna Picchu from where you can appreciate the immensity of Machu Picchu, being even more surprisingly high and distant.
2. At the foot of the Puerta del Sol; opportunity to walk (approx. 1 hour) to Puerta del Sol (Inti Punku)
