Day 1International Arrival in Lima

Our representative will meet you at the Lima international airport and escort you to your hotel.
There are no scheduled activities, so check into the hotel and rest. We will spend the night at Lima Hotel

Day 2Lima Sightseeing tour

Day 3 Flight to Cusco - Cusco Tourist visit

Breakfast at the hotel; Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Cusco, the ancient Inca capital of the Incas. Upon arrival in Cusco; reception and transfer to your hotel – free morning to get acclimatization
After lunch at 1:30 pm; Tour Cusco including the Cathedral, Koricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay. Our tour begins in the Plaza de Armas in Cusco. You will enter the Cathedral of Cusco and see the beautiful wood crafts and colonial paintings that contain extensive Inca iconography. Visit the Koricancha (Temple of the Sun) in which the Santo Domingo Convent was built. Legend has it that this temple was completely covered in gold, which impressed the conquerors upon their arrival.
Ascend to the Archaeological Park of Sacsayhuaman and visit the Citadel. This is the royal house where they admired the Sun God, but also worshiped younger gods. Admire this great structure and enjoy the magnificent scenery that brings peace and tranquility. Next, visit Qenqo, the ancient temple of the Puma. Inside you can see a sacrificial altar made of a huge stone. In Tambomachay, you will see the sacred sources of life and health. Pucapucara safeguarded the city gates and the Sacsayhuamán Fortress. Day 4 Sacred Valley Tour

Breakfast at the hotel; Pick up at the hotel at 8:30 am for your full day excursion to the impressive Sacred Valley of the Incas, explore the beautiful landscape of Peru with a full day excursion of the magical Sacred Valley. First, you will visit the city of Pisaq, known for its lively market. This hometown was once where “Forex trading” took place. In this type of operation, clients exchange one good for another instead of using the currency. Visit the Pisaq market, where you can buy wonderfully handcrafted products handcrafted by the locals.
On Sunday, the main attraction is a mass celebrated in Quechua and performed in Spanish. It is the presence of the mayors and their assistants who play traditional musical instruments called “pututos”.
Afterwards, you can enjoy a typical Peruvian lunch (included in the price) before visiting the Ollantaytambo fortress.
Next, we will visit the impressive ruins of the Ollantaytambo fortress. These magnificent ancient ruins serve as great vantage points to gaze out over the valley. Originally the royal domain of Emperor Pachacutec during the Inca Empire, this site later served as a stronghold for Manco Inca in the final Inca rebellion against the Spanish. Day 5Train to Aguas Calientes and Mandor Valle Birdwatching

Breakfast at the hotel; Choose from the hotel for your excursion to Machu Picchu 2 Day, early transfer to the nearby Poroy train station for the train ride to the mysterious lost city of Machu Picchu, the train ride to Machu Picchu is one of the most beautiful tours that visitors can experience in our country. The trip offers a great many natural, amazing views of the Andes and a jungle environment after descending to the (2000m / 6560ft). After around 3 and a half hours, we will have arrived in Aguas Calientes, transfer to the hotel after checking in. Lunch in Aguas Calientes at Indio Feliz restaurant
Mandor Valle Bird watching; after lunch you will visit Mandor Valle; We walk along the Vilcanota River following the railroad tracks in the Mandor Valley to visit its waterfall. The valley is inhabited by varied and fascinating birds, including Spotted Face Parrots and Green Jays, and we have the opportunity to find Gallito de las Rocas. We will rest and perhaps bathe under the waterfall before walking back to the hotel in the shadow of Machu Picchu.

Day 6 Full Day Machu Picchu and return to Cusco

Breakfast at the hotel; Full day excursion to Machu Picchu from Aguas Calientes, early transfer at 5:30 am to the bus stop for the short trip (25 minutes) to the citadel of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, you will participate in a guided tour of the Citadel, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock (the most important preserved Intihuatana), the royal rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, houses, warehouses, a large central square; and all connected by narrow roads and passes that are surrounded by terraces carved into the mountainside. After the tour you will have time to wander around the archaeological site at your leisure.
Then, you will have time to do any of the following activities by yourself (not included in the price):
1. 1. Ascent to Wayna Picchu; For the more adventurous, we suggest you climb the Wayna Picchu from where you can appreciate the immensity of Machu Picchu, being even more surprisingly high and distant.
2. 2. At the foot of Puerta del Sol; opportunity to walk (approx. 1 hour) to Puerta del Sol (Inti Punku)

Day 7Flight to Puerto Maldonado - Tambopata Lodge

Breakfast at the hotel; transfer to Cusco airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado; Upon arrival in Cusco, reception by an English-speaking guide, while enjoying your first experience in the jungle in our gardens, we will ask you to only bring what is necessary for the next few days, and leave the rest at our fort. Drive 20 kilometers (12.42 miles) to the Port of Tambopata, entering the Native Community of Infierno. The 2.5-hour boat trip from the Port of Tambopata to Posada Amazonas will take us beyond the Native Community of Infierno and the Tambopata National Reserve’s checkpoint and within the buffer zone of this 1-hour conservation unit. , 3 million hectares.
Upon arrival, the hostel manager will welcome you and give you important recommendations for your stay.
Canopy Tower; A twenty minute walk from the Posada Amazonas takes us to the 30 meter canopy tower. A staircase with a railing through the center provides safe access to the platforms above. From the top you get spectacular views of the large expanses of standing forest cut by the Tambopata River winding through the center. Species from time to time, toucans, parrots or macaws are seen flying against the horizon, or mixed canopy flocks land in the tree canopy next to you.

Day 8Tres Chimbadas lake - Ethnobotanical Information

Breakfast at the Lodge; visit Tres Chimbadas lake; Tres Chimbadas Thirty minutes by boat and forty-five minutes a walk from Posada Amazonas. Once there, you can paddle across the lake on a catamaran, in search of the resident family of nine giant river otters (seen by 60% of our lake visitors) and other lake fauna such as alligators, hoatzin, and screaming horns. Otters are most active from sunrise to eight or nine PM.
Ethnobotanical Information; a twenty minute boat ride downstream that leads to a trail designed by the Centro Nape staff. Centro Ñape is a community organization that produces medicines from forest plants and administers them to patients who choose its small clinic. They have produced a trail that explains the different drugs (and other) uses of the selected plants.
Night walk; you will have the opportunity to walk at night, when most mammals are, although it is difficult to see them. Much more common are frogs with shapes and sounds as bizarre as their natural stories.

Day 9Parrot Clay Lick - Ceiba Trail Hike - visit of the farm

Parrot clay lick; This clay lick is only twenty minutes from Posada Amazonas. From a hiding place located about twenty meters away you will see dozens of parrots and parakeets descend on the clearest mornings to ingest the clay on a river bank. Species such as Mealy and Yellow-headed Amazon, Dark Blue-headed Parrot and Parakeet headed descend on this clay lick. The clay lick is active in the early morning, during the early morning and mid-afternoon.
Ceiba Trail Hike; We leave from the lobby at the Posada Amazonas and embark on a two-hour hike topped by the largest tree in the vicinity: a giant ceiba. During the walk we will focus on the natural history of the jungle and its main taxonomic groups.

Day 10 Departure from the Lodge - Flight to Lima - Connect to the International Flight

Breakfast; Transfer by Boat – from Posada Amazonas to the Tambopata River Port and then to Puerto Maldonado, we return on our river and the road trip back to Puerto Maldonado, our office and the airport. Depending on airline schedules, this may require sunrise departures; flight to Lima where you can connect at the same airport for the international flight.
