Day 1 International arrival in Lima

Our representative will meet you at the Lima international airport and escort you to your hotel.
There are no scheduled activities, so check into the hotel and rest. We will spend the night at Lima Hotel

Day 2Lima Sightseeing tour

At 2:30 pm the guided tour of the most important and attractive places in Lima, the “City of Kings”, will begin. This excursion offers the best combination of the various attractions of Lima in its three historical periods: pre-Hispanic, colonial and contemporary. In Lima, various pre-Columbian cultures have developed that date back thousands of years. Day 3 Flight to Cusco - Cusco Tourist visit

Breakfast at the hotel; Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Cusco, the ancient Inca capital of the Incas. Upon arrival in Cusco; reception and transfer to your hotel – free morning to get acclimatization
After lunch at 1:30 pm; Tour Cusco including the Cathedral, Koricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay. Our tour begins in the Plaza de Armas in Cusco. You will enter the Cathedral of Cusco and see the beautiful wood crafts and colonial paintings that contain extensive Inca iconography. Visit the Koricancha (Temple of the Sun) in which the Santo Domingo Convent was built. Legend has it that this temple was completely covered in gold, which impressed the conquerors upon their arrival.
Ascend to the Archaeological Park of Sacsayhuaman and visit the Citadel. This is the royal house where they admired the Sun God, but also worshiped younger gods. Admire this great structure and enjoy the magnificent scenery that brings peace and tranquility. Next, visit Qenqo, the ancient temple of the Puma. Inside you can see a sacrificial altar made of a huge stone. In Tambomachay, you will see the sacred sources of life and health. Pucapucara safeguarded the city gates and the Sacsayhuamán Fortress. The tour ends with a detailed visit of the city of Cusco – Accommodation at the Cusco Hotel

Day 4 Sacred Valley of the Tour

Breakfast at the hotel; Pick up at the hotel at 8:30 am for your full day excursion to the impressive Sacred Valley of the Incas, explore the beautiful landscape of Peru with a full day excursion of the magical Sacred Valley. First, you will visit the city of Pisaq, known for its lively market. This hometown was once where “Forex trading” took place. In this type of operation, clients exchange one good for another instead of using the currency. Visit the Pisaq market, where you can buy wonderfully handcrafted products handcrafted by the locals. On Sunday, the main attraction is a mass celebrated in Quechua and performed in Spanish. It is the presence of the mayors and their assistants who play traditional musical instruments called “pututos”.
Afterwards, you can enjoy a typical Peruvian lunch (included in the price) before visiting the Ollantaytambo fortress.
Next, we will visit the impressive ruins of the Ollantaytambo fortress. These magnificent ancient ruins serve as great vantage points to gaze out over the valley. Originally the royal domain of Emperor Pachacutec during the Inca Empire, this site later served as a stronghold for Manco Inca in the final Inca rebellion against the Spanish. Day 5 Train to Aguas Calientes and Mandor Valle Birdwatching

Breakfast at the hotel; Choose from the hotel for your excursion to Machu Picchu 2 Day, early transfer to the nearby Poroy train station for the train ride to the mysterious lost city of Machu Picchu, the train ride to Machu Picchu is one of the most beautiful tours that visitors can experience in our country. The trip offers a great many natural, amazing views of the Andes and a jungle environment after descending to the (2000m / 6560ft). After around 3 and a half hours, we will have arrived in Aguas Calientes, transfer to the hotel after checking in. Lunch in Aguas Calientes at Indio Feliz restaurant
Mandor Valle Bird watching; after lunch you will visit Mandor Valle; We walk along the Vilcanota River following the railroad tracks in the Mandor Valley to visit its waterfall. The valley is inhabited by varied and fascinating birds, including Spotted Face Parrots and Green Jays, and we have the opportunity to find Gallito de las Rocas. We will rest and perhaps bathe under the waterfall before walking back to the hotel in the shadow of Machu Picchu.

Day 6 Full Day Machu Picchu and return to Cusco

Breakfast at the hotel; Full day excursion to Machu Picchu from Aguas Calientes, early transfer at 5:30 am to the bus stop for the short trip (25 minutes) to the citadel of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, you will participate in a guided tour of the Citadel, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock (the most important preserved Intihuatana), the royal rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, houses, warehouses, a large central square; and all connected by narrow roads and passes that are surrounded by terraces carved into the mountainside. After the tour you will have time to wander around the archaeological site at your leisure.
Then, you will have time to do any of the following activities by yourself (not included in the price):
1. 1. Ascent to Wayna Picchu; For the more adventurous, we suggest you climb the Wayna Picchu from where you can appreciate the immensity of Machu Picchu, being even more surprisingly high and distant.
2. 2. At the foot of Puerta del Sol; opportunity to walk (approx. 1 hour) to Puerta del Sol (Inti Punku)

Train back to Cusco: In the afternoon you will return to the Aguas Calientes train station for the return trip to Cusco – departure of the train to Cusco; upon arrival at the reception and transfer to the Hotel Cusco

Day 7 Flight to Puerto Maldonado - Wasai Tambopata Lodge

Breakfast at the hotel; transfer to Cusco airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado; Upon arrival in Cusco, reception by an English guide and speaking transportation to the Wasai Maldonado Ecolodge, where you will receive a welcome tropical drink. You will embark on a 4-hour boat trip down the Tambopata River to the Wasai Tambopata Lodge & Research Center (lunch box on board). During the trip to the heart of the jungle we will be able to observe clouds of butterflies, typical communities of the Amazon, while groups of birds pass over the boat and animals such as capybaras, turtles and alligators. Day 8 Visit Macaw Clay Lick

Early wake up at 4:30 am to have a light breakfast (coffee or mate), to begin our 40 minute trip upriver to the “El Chuncho” Macaw Clay Lick in the Bahuaja-Sonene National Park. We will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes and wildlife of the riverbanks. Upon our arrival, weather permitting, we will be able to observe one of the greatest fauna shows where hundreds of parrots and different species of macaws gather to eat clay, an unforgettable experience. So, let’s walk across the river beach looking for animal tracks while we have refreshments.
In the middle of the morning we return to the lodge for breakfast and then take a break to relax or do the additional adventure activities such as: zip line, Triline, floating ropes or enjoy the facilities and the surroundings of Wasai.
(At 11 am) We leave again to take a 10 minute river trip to enjoy “Cascadas del Gato” (Cat waterfalls), where we will swim in a “natural Jacuzzi”. If you wish, you can join us to fish in the river, where more than 250 species of fish inhabit, or to kayak in the river (additional).
After lunch, we will have an ethnobotanical walk in the jungle along the Tambopata cross road, to learn about the medicinal plants and trees of the area; and observe the incredible jungle ecosystem where we will see walking palm trees, giant Lupuna trees, snake trees and so on. At nightfall, we embark again to do a search for nocturnal alligators – Overnight at Wasai Tambopata Lodge

Day 9 Visit Sandoval Lake

After breakfast we will take a boat trip to the Wasai Maldonado Ecolodge, in Puerto Maldonado where we will relax in our bungalows and enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch we will leave and travel for thirty minutes on the Madre de Dios River, to the access trail to Lake Sandoval, a beautiful typical tropical forest lake. 3 km of walk to the shores of the lake. We are not going aboard a canoe to paddle across the lake enjoying the beauty of the landscape and observing wildlife such as kingfishers, herons, shanshos (unique prehistoric looking birds), monkeys, etc. If we are lucky we could see the family of giant otters that inhabit the lake. It is time to start our walk back to the Madre de Dios River to return to Puerto Maldonado. We are not staying in the modern and comfortable bungalows at Wasai Maldonado Ecolodge. After dinner we can rest or go around the city on foot or by bicycle. We can enjoy the pool and its waterfall surrounded by green vegetation. Rest of the night free to enjoy the nightlife of this cozy city – Accommodation at Wasai Maldonado Ecolodge

Day 10 Departure from the Lodge - Flight to Lima - Connect to the International Flight

Breakfast; Transfer by Boat – Wasai Tambopata Lodge River and the road trip back to Puerto Maldonado, our office and the airport. Depending on airline schedules, this may require sunrise departures; flight to Lima where you can connect at the same airport for the international flight.
