We will enter the Cathedral of Cusco with an exuberant Baroque style of the 16th century, see the beautiful wood crafts with gold leaf and colonial paintings that contain extensive Inca iconography. Admire this great structure and enjoy the magnificent landscape of the Cusco Valley with peace and tranquility. Next, we will visit Qenqo, the old temple in honor of the Puma, inside you can see a sacrificial altar perfectly worked in a huge piece of stone. In Tambomachay, you will see the sacred ceremonial sources of life and health, finally we will visit the Pucapucara fortress, an important mandatory checkpoint before entering the city of Cusco or the Sacsayhuamán Fortress. First, you will visit the city of Pisaq, very famous for its well-known and varied artisan market, textiles, handicrafts, works and unique silver designs. In colonial times, “exchange of products or barter” was carried out. In this type of operation, customers exchanged one good for another instead of using currency. To know the Pisaq market is to appreciate the magnificent works made by hand local people, this gives an incalculable added value to their work.
Sunday is a main day in Pisaq for having the attraction of hearing masses celebrated in Quechua and Spanish. With the presence of the main authorities such as mayors and their assistants who play traditional musical instruments called “pututos”.
Then, we continue to the city of Urubamba, the most important in the Sacred Valley, here we have a typical Peruvian buffet lunch (included in the price) for an hour we will enjoy the restaurant facilities, and then continue our visit to the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo Knowing this impressive archaeological complex reflects the great management and mastery that these characters had in the place. This magnificent archaeological group offers a great panorama and viewpoint to contemplate the valley both to the South and the North. The chronicles say that it was the royal domain of Emperor Pachakuteq, this great Inca portent later served as a stronghold for Manco Inca when he carried out the rebellion against the Spanish. At the end of the visit of this impressive place we have scheduled to spend the night in a very comfortable hotel. Accommodation at the Ollantaytambo hotel
