Day 1Moray and Maras Terrazas de la Sal Walk - Train to Aguas Calientes

Breakfast at the hotel; Pick up at your hotel at 8:00 in the morning for a private guided tour of the Sacred Valley.
Excursion to the Inca agricultural experimental center of Moray, famous for its sunken amphitheater, formed by four circular platforms that seem to disappear into the earth like an artificial crater. The site was apparently an Inca agricultural research station designed to experiment with crops at various altitudes (some of which run down to depths of 100 meters). The terraces, built on retaining walls filled with fertile soil and watered by complex irrigation systems, are believed to allow the Incas to grow more than 250 species of plants.
We arrive at the circular Inca ruins of Moray, where we enjoy a delicious picnic lunch.
After this very atmospheric mule trails place then takes us to the ancient city of Maras with its prominent Spanish door arches and extensive church. Maras is famous for its spies – due to its strategic location above the Sacred Valley. Then we descend towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the salt flats of Salineras. Here more than 5000 terraces are still in production and many families from Maras bring their salt to the Urubamba market on mules. Finally we meet our new vehicle next to the Urubamba River for the return trip to Cusco. Drop off in Ollantaytambo, where you can take the train to Aguas Calientes (Vistadome Train), after receiving the arrival and transfer to the Hotel – Accommodation at the Aguas Calientes hotel
• Meals included: Lunch

Day 2 Full Day Machu Picchu and return to Cusco

Breakfast at the hotel; Full day excursion to Machu Picchu from Aguas Calientes, early transfer at 5:30 am to the bus stop for the short trip (25 minutes) to the citadel of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, you will participate in a guided tour of the Citadel, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock (the most important preserved Intihuatana), the royal rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, houses, warehouses, a large central square; and all connected by narrow roads and passes that are surrounded by terraces carved into the mountainside. After the tour you will have time to wander around the archaeological site at your leisure.
Then, you will have time to do any of the following activities by yourself (not included in the price):
1. 1. Ascent to Wayna Picchu; For the more adventurous, we suggest you climb the Wayna Picchu from where you can appreciate the immensity of Machu Picchu, being even more surprisingly high and distant.
2. 2. At the foot of Puerta del Sol; opportunity to walk (approx. 1 hour) to Puerta del Sol (Inti Punku)
Lunch at the Lodge Restaurant Sanctuary of Machu Picchu (included in the price)
Train back to Cusco: In the afternoon you will return to the Aguas Calientes train station for the return trip to Cusco – departure of the train to Cusco; upon arrival at the reception and transfer to the Hotel Cusco
